Adobe Flash: Unterstützung für 64-Bit Linux ist zurück

Vor einiger Zeit durfte man sich wundern, warum Adobe den Flash Player für 64-Bit-Linux von der Webseite genommen hat. Mit der neuesten Ausgabe der 64-Bit Version stehen Varianten für Windows, Mac und auch wieder Linux zur Verfügung. Mit Codename Square, der nächste Meilensteinin der Flash-Entwicklung bringt Adobe native Unterstützung für x86_64-Architekturen für die drei genannten Betriebssysteme und 64-Bit-Webbrowser.
Die einzig nennenswerte Neuerung in dieser Ausgabe von Flash Square ist die Hardware-Beschleunigung für Windows und Microsofts Internet Explorer 9. Die Linuxer hingegen müssen weiterhin auf Hardware-Beschleunigung warten. Wer die neueste Ausgabe von Flash Player haben möchte, findet diese in den Adobe Labs. Linuxer können auch auf die freien Alternativen Gnash oder Lightspark zurückgreifen.
