Zum Beispiel bietet Linux Kernel 2.6.37 Unterstützung für aktuelle Hardware. Die Bootsplash-Technologie aus Pardus 2009.2 wurde durch die Plymouth-Engine ersetzt. YALI, der Installer, bekam Unterstützung für LVM/RAID und UUID spendiert. Ebenso bringt Pardus Linux 2011 KDE 4.5.5 als Desktop-Umgebung mit sich. Für das netzwerken setzt das Betriebssystem auf NetworkManager 0.8.2.
Die Linux-Distribution ist reich Anwender-Software bestückt. Daruntern befinden sich die üblichen Verdächtigen wie Firefox 4.0 Beta 9 (aktuelle Benchmarks), GIMP und LibreOffice. Aber auch die Videoschnitt-Software Kdenlive und viele andere nützliche Tools sind an Bord.
