Wie alle anderen 10er-Varianten basiert auch dieser Mint-Sprößling auf Ubuntu 10.10 Maverick Meerkat. Ebenso äquivalent zu den anderen Mint-Ausgaben bringt die LXDE-Version einen verbesserten Software-Manager mit sich. Wer zum Beispiel keine Updates für ein bestimmtes Paket haben möchte, kann dies einfach auf eine Ignorier-Liste setzen.
Bekannte Probleme in dieser Version sind die Auflösung beim Splash Screen, Moonlight und Mint4win. Als Minimalanforderungen beschreiben die Entwickler einen x86-Prozessor, 256 MByte Arbeitsspeicher und drei GByte Festplattenplatz.
