Ich hatte bereits über M.O.R.E berichtet. Es ist ein an Master of Orion II angelehntes Weltraum-Strategie-Spiel, das unglaublich viel Potential hat – also wenn man Fan von MOOII war – so wie ich. Die Fertigstellung des Spiels wird via Kickstarter finanziert und die gewünschten 50.000 US-Dollar sind zusammen. Derzeit, 6 Tage vor dem Ende der Kampagne, steht man sogar bei fast 64.000 US-Dollar. 1000 US-Dollar mehr und für Linuxer und Macianer würde ein wichtiges Stretch-Goal erreicht: Unterstützung des Spiels von Tag 1!

Ich glaube, da schlag ich nun mal zu, vor allen Dingen weil man bereits ab 10 US-Dollar eine Kopie des Spiels bekommt. Was uns diese Kampagne außerdem lehrt ist, dass man keine halbe Million US-Dollar mehr für Linux-Unterstützung braucht. Die Entwickler halten die Unterstützer dauernd mit neuen Videos, Designs und so weiter auf dem Laufenden. Man will eigentich gar nicht mehr warten, sondern sofort mitspielen.
