Die Entwickler des VLC Media Player haben ein Update auf Version 2.0.4 ausgegeben. Es sind einige interessante Änderungen vorhanden. Zum Beispiel soll sich die Playback-Synchronisation mit PulseAudio verbessert haben. Unterstützung gibt es für Opus via libopus – inklusive Multi-Kanal-Dateien. Durch die DMO-Bibliotheken ist Unterstützung für MSS1 und MSS2 vorhanden. Die Unterstützung für Blu-Ray und und HLS wurde verbessert.
Ansonsten gibt es eine ganze Reihe Fixes, vor allen Dingen für Mac OS X und Windows. Wer sich für die Details interessiert, kann diese im Changelog einsehen. Auf der Webseite wird derzeit noch Version 2.0.3 zum Download angeboten – das wird sich wohl bald ändern. Wie üblich gibt es VLC Media Player für Linux, Mac OS X und Windows.
