Die Wine-Macher haben im Zuge des zweiwöchentlichen Entwicklungszyklus eine neue Wine-Version zur Verfügung gestellt. Interessant in dieser Version ist die Unterstützung für Mono. Laut Ankündigung ist dies durch eine Erweiterung für Wine möglich. Ebenso kannst Du .NET 4.0 Runtime installieren. Unterstützung gibt es auch für DDS-Dateien in D3DX9 und Dithering (Fehlerdiffusion) der Pattern Brushes (Musterpinsel?) in der DIB Engine.
Wie immer haben die Entwickler zahlreiche Fehler ausgebessert. Du kannst den Quellcode bei sourceforge.net oder ibiblio.org herunterladen. Binärdateien für Ubuntu, Debian, Red Hat, CentOS, Fedora, openSUSE, Mandriva, Slackware, FreeBSD und PC-BSD stehen im Download-Bereich der Projektseite bereit. Wie gewohnt lässt sich die neueste Entwickler-Version von Wine auch schon in PlayOnLinux und PlayOnMac nutzen.
