Oder sagen wir so – die beiden Betriebssysteme sind in einem Promo-Video für ein Geisterauto aufgetaucht. Mercedes entwickelt an einem Auto, das ganz alleine fahren kann. Dabei handelt es sich bei dem Versuch nicht nur um ein paar hundert Meter auf einem Verkehrsübungsplatz. Man ist die Strecke abgefahren, mit der die Nützlichkeit des Motorwagens von Bertha Benz unter Beweis gestellt wurde – 100km freihändig von Mannheim nach Pforzheim.
Als Betriebssysteme auf den Computern und Notebooks tauchen immer wieder die Linux-Distributionen Ubuntu und Xubuntu auf. Die Schwierigkeit bei dem Projekt sei unter anderem, dass die Technik die Bewegungen anderer vorausorakeln müsste.
Aber ganz ehrlich – wenn mir einer einen S-500 unter den Hintern setzen würde, wollte ich diesen gar nicht freihändig fahren – da ist ja der ganze Spaß weg … 🙂
