Vor kurzer Zeit wurde angekündigt, dass Ubuntu 11.04 auf den Namen Natty Narwhal getauft wird. Nun folgte, wann und wo das Developer Summit dafür stattfinden soll. Jono Bacon ließ verlauten, dass es vom 25. bis zum 29.10. 2010 bis in Orlando (USA) ausgetragen wird. Darüber hinaus kündigte er die nagelneue Webseite für Developer Summits an: http://uds.ubuntu.com. Dort findet die Community alle wichtigen Informationen, wie zum Beispiel Anreise-Details und so weiter.
Das Ubuntu Developer Summit ist eine der wichtigsten Veranstaltungen im Kalender der Linux-Distribution. Dort diskutieren die Entwickler über die nächste Version von Ubuntu. Canonical sponsert unter Umständen auch Mitglieder, zum UDS zu reisen. Wer sich wertvoll in das Projekt einbringen, sich aber die Reise nicht leisten kann, kann das Sponsoring bis zum 8. September 2010 beantragen.
