Minecraft: Pocket Edition läuft auf dem Raspberry Pi

Auf der Minecon in Paris wurde Minecraft: Pocket Edition offiziell vorgestellt. Man nennt den Port des Spiels auch Minecraft: Pi Edition. Den Pi-Entwicklern wurde die Frage “Läuft Minecraft auf dem Gerät” so oft gestellt, dass sie ein paar Boards an Mojang geschickt haben. Diese haben an einem Port für den Mini-Rechner gebastelt und dieser ist nun fertig. Es gibt Unterstützung für verschiedene Programmiersprachen und man kann direkt in Minecraft Code einbringen – man kann es aber auch einfach zocken.
Zwei Entwickler von Mojang zeigten sich begeistert und nannten die Möglichkeiten als riesengroß. Damit könne man die billigste LAN-Party aller Zeiten organisieren. Man könne aber auch mit einem Mini-Budget lernen zu programmieren.
Wann das Spiel veröffentlicht wird, steht noch nicht ganz fest – allerdings wird es als kostenloser Download zur Verfügung gestellt.
