Ab sofort können Interessierte einen zweiten Veröffentlichungs-Kandidaten von PC-BSD 8.2 unter die Lupe nehmen. Laut eigener Aussage ist dies die letzte Test-Version. Mit der finalen Ausgabe des auf FreeBSD 8.2 basierenden Betriebssystems ist in zwei bis drei Wochen zu rechnen. Die Entwickler haben in dieser Version diverse Fehler ausgebessert und setzen unter anderem auf folgende Software: FreeBSD 8.2-RC2, KDE 4.5.4, X.Org 7.5 und NVIDIA-Treiber 260.19.29.
Unter anderem befindet sich nun ein Handbuch in PDF-Form an Bord. Sie finden es auf dem Desktop.
