Mal wieder unpünktlich: Fedora 14 um eine Woche verschoben

Beim von Red Hat gesponserten Fedora-Projekt gehört es fast schon zum guten Ton, nicht pünktlich zu erscheinen. Diese ungewollte Tradition setzt sich auch mit Fedora 14 “Laughlin” fort. Fedoras Projektleiter Jared Smith kündigte an, dass im Einvernehmen mit Entwicklern und QA-Teams die Alpha-Ausgabe der Linux-Distribution eine Woche mehr Zeit braucht. Sie soll nun am 24. August 2010 erscheinen.
Somit ändert sich das Ausgabedatum der finalen Version vom 26. Oktober 2010 auf 2. November 2010. Dieser Schritt wirkt sich auf den gesamten Release-Kalender aus.
