661 Fehler bereinigt: Mozilla Firefox 4 Beta 9 ist da

Mozilla hat eine neunte Beta-Ausgabe von Firefox 4 zur Verfügung gestellt. Nach monatelanger Entwicklung nähern sich die Programmierer dem Ziel. Erstaunlich, gerade zu diesem Zeitpunkt der Ausgabezyklen, ist die Liste mit bereinigten Fehlern: 661 Bugs wurden zerquetscht. Aus Anwendersicht muss man sagen, dass Firefox 4 schnell und stabil ist. Ein Umstieg auf beta-Software ist immer mit Risiken versehen, aber in diesem Fall ist meine persönliche Meinung, dass es sich lohnt. Die großen Plugins gibt es (fast) alle für Firefox 4 und der neueste Firefox macht einfach so viel mehr Spaß.
Die Tabs schnell und übersichtlich verwaltet.
Die Startzeit hat sich verbessert, die JavaScript-Geschwindigkeit ist etliche Meilen schneller als die Vorgänger-Version. Kurz gesagt ist Firefox wieder mehr als konkurrenzfähig geworden. Oben Rechts gibt es einen Knopf, mit dem sich die Tabs auf einfach Weise gruppieren lassen. Eine weitere Hauptfunktion ist die Integration von IndexedDB. Wer selbst testen möchte, kann sich die aktuellste Beta-Ausgabe bei Mozilla herunterladen.
