Ab sofort dürfen Mandriva-Fans die erste Beta-Ausgabe der Versio 2010.1 testen. Diese Ausgabe enthält GNOME 2.30 und eine Vorschau auf die GNOME-Shell, die Teil von GNOME 3 (geplant für September 2010) sein wird. Als alternativen Desktop-Manager stellen die Entwickler KDE 4.4.2 zur Verfügung. Ebenso wurden etliche Software-Pakete auf einen neueren Stand gebracht. Die Entwickler weisen ausdrücklich darauf hin, dass Feedback erwünscht ist. Fehler dürfen Finder in Mandrivas Bugzilla melden.
Mandriva 2010.1 Beta 1 ist sowohl als 32- als auch als 64-Bit-Variante erhältlich. Die Entwickler stellen DVD-Abbilder und Live-CDs mit den Geschmacksrichtungen KDE oder GNOME zur Verfügung.
