Weiterhin will LG laut diesem Bericht das Betriebssystem von HP sogar kaufen: Quellcode, dazugehörige Webseiten und so weiter. Wie viel Geld dabei geflossen ist, wurde nicht bekannt gegeben.
Auf Smartphones kommt es wohl nicht zum Einsatz. Hier konzentriert sich der Elektronik-Hersteller wohl weiterhin auf Android, ist aber auch in der Liste der Firefox-OS-Unterstützer.
Wird spannend, was LG aus dem Betriebssystem macht. Bei HP führte WebOS eher ein trauriges Dasein.
