Jean-Philippe Guillemin hat die Verfügbarkeit der minimalistischen Linux-Distribution Zenwalk Linux 6.4 “Core” angekündigt. Das Betriebssystem basiert auf Zenwalk Linux 6.4, bringt aber nur das nötigste mit sich. Es ist für sicherer oder schnelle Systeme ohne grafische Oberfläche gedacht. Ebenso könnte man daraus eine leichtgewichtige Desktop-Variante basteln.
Laut eigener Aussage lässt sich das System in zirka zehn Minuten installieren. Zenwalk Linux 6.4 “Core” bringt Kernel 2.6.33.4 inklusive dem neuen BFS-Scheduler mit sich, was sich positiv auf Mehrkern-CPUs auswirken soll.
