Asylum ist ein Horror-Adventure, das derzeit eine Kickstarter-Kampagne am Laufen hat. 11 Tage sind noch Zeit und den Entwickler fehlen noch zirka 20.000 US-Dollar zum Ziel. Es gibt auch schon einen spielbaren Teaser für Linux, Windows oder Mac OS X. Die Linux-Version wurde in erster Linie unter Ubuntu getestet. Die Entwickler wollen das SPiel so oder so erstellen, aber mit einer erfolgreichen Kickstarter-Kampagne kann man das Ziel eben früher realisieren.
Die Entwickler gehen sogar so weit, dass sie die Basis des Spiels, die Dagon Engine, als Open-Source freigegeben haben (auf GitHub). Diese Engine wurde geschrieben, damit sich Adventure-Spiele erschaffen lassen. Auch kommerzielle Projekte dürfen Dagon nutzen.
Man kann den Entwickler wegen dieses Schrittes einfach nur von Herzen wünschen, dass ihre Kickstarter-Kampagne erfolgreich abgeschlossen wird.
