In einer Woche wird die neueste Ausgabe von Kubuntu (13.04 “Raring Ringtail”) laut Zeitplan erscheinen. Nun hat Jonathan Riddell im KDE-Blog verraten, dass sich auch visuell etwas tun wird. Also soooo viel gibt es dann auch nicht zu sehen, aber der Plymouth Boot Screen und der Ubiquity Installer sehen doch schon ganz gut aus. Man bittet um reges Testen.
Mal von der bahnbrechenden Änderung abgesehen, wie oft bootet man? Braucht man dann einen grafischen Bootscreen? Sind nicht Statusangaben sehr viel sinnvoller? Und cooler sowieso. 😉

Hätte gern noch etwas weitergehen können. Ich finde das KDE-Design gar nicht schlecht, aber mittlerweile habe ich mich einfach satt gesehen.
Aber der Bootscreen ist ein wichtiger Schritt, der sieht in der Vorversion wirklich schlimm aus.

Ich sehe ihn bis zu zweimal am Tag: Beim Hoch- und beim Herunterfahren.
Statusangaben verunsichern den Nutzer doch eher, wenn da x-mal das Wort Warning auftaucht... 😉
