Calculate Linux wirft GNOME aus der Distribution
Somit gibt es Calculate Linux 13.4 in folgenden Varianten: KDE (CLD), GNOME (CLDG), XFCE (CLDX), Calculate Directory Server (CDS), Calculate Media Center (CMC) und die minimalistischen Calculate Linux Scratch (CLS) und Calculate Scratch Server (CSS).
Ab sofort gibt es Unterstützung für UEFI für 64-Bit-Systeme. Per Standard legt sich das System mit Hilfe von TuxOnIce schlafen und es gibt Unterstützung für BFQ I/O Scheduler. Weiterhin kann die Distribution nun Konfigurations-Dateien (Gentoo-kompatibel) sichern. Das Partitions-Tool im Installations-Assistenten hat sich laut eigenen Angaben verbessert.
Beim Neustart oder Herunterfahren des Sysems lassen sich nun die Profile von Domain-Anwendern synchronisieren. BeiCLDG und CLDX ist der IRC-Client HexChat anstelle von XChat. CLD nutzt ab sofort GParted als Partitions-GUI.
Die Distribution setzt auf Kernel 3.8.4. Als Desktop-Umgebungen kommen KDE 4.10.1, GNOME 2.32, Xfce 4.10, XBMC 12.1 oder Openbox 3.5.0 zum Einsatz.
