Aller guten Dinge sind bekanntlich drei – dachten sich wohl auch die Fedora-Entwickler. Zwei Mal wurde in den Go/No-Go-Meetings die Veröffentlichung der Alpha-Version von Fedora 18 “Spherical Cow” verschoben. Verspätungen gehören zum guten Ton von Fedora und es ist eben fertig, wenn es fertig ist. Fedora 18 Alpha wird am 18. September 2012 debütieren – so steht es geschrieben und so möge es geschehen!
Eine Beta-Version ist nun für den 23. Oktober 2012 geplant. Einen Release-Kandidaten möchten die Entwickler am 12. November 2012 ausgeben und die finale Version soll nach dem Ausgabeplan am 27. November 2012 das Licht der Welt erblicken … sofern es kene Aufschübe mehr gibt.
