LTS abgesegnet: 5 Jahre für Kubuntu 12.04 und 3 für Xubuntu 12.04

Die beiden wichtigsten Entscheidungen der technischen Leitung von Ubuntu 12.04 betrafen wohl die Ableger Kubuntu und Xubuntu. Dem eingereichten Vorschlag, Xubuntu mit einer Langzeitunterstützung von drei Jahren zu versehen, wurde stattgegeben. Kubuntu 12.04 schließt sich sogar dem LTS-Zyklus von Ubuntu 12.04 “Precise Pangolin” an und es wurde eine Langzeitunterstützung von 5 Jahren abgesegnet.
Auch Edubuntu wird 5 Jahre Unterstützung bekommen. Allerdings stehen hier noch einige Software-Pakete wie Calibre und VNC zur Debatte. Weiterhin wurde auf dem Treffen beschlossen, dass sich Dateien außerhalb von /opt/extras.ubuntu.com/<Quelle>/ befinden dürfen, solange die mit einem Präfix extras-<Quelle>_ ausgezeichnet sind.

Davon wurde in diesem Meeting nichts erwähnt - ich hab jetzt extra noch mal nachgesehen.
Joa, habe auch schon gesucht und leider (noch) nichts gefunden. Denke aber nicht, dass es klappen wird. Bei Xubuntu hat es ja auch Jahre gedauert...
