Diese Ausgabe erscheint lediglich eine Wochen nach RC1. In Release-Kandidat 2 wurde zum Beispiel der Linux-Kernel auf Version 2.6.37.4 aktualisiert. Ebenso schließen neue Versionen von Subversion (1.6.16) und Pidgin (2.7.11) Sicherheitslücken. Ebenfalls mit an Bord befinden sich Emacs 23.3 und Audacious 2.4.4.
