Anthony Nordquist hat Saline OS 1.3 angekündigt. Das auf Debian basierende Betriebssystem bringt Xfce als Standard-Desktop mit sich und kommt als Live-DVD. Diese Wartungsausgabe unterstützt nun das Ändern der Systemsprache und des Tastatur-Layouts während der Installation. Ebenso ist das Anwender-Handbuch erstmalig in einer anderen Sprache – Spanisch – verfügbar. Weiterhin lassen sich Sprachpakete für Icedove, OpenOffice.org und MySpell herunterladen. Seit Version 1.2 sind alle Debian-Sicherheitsupdates eingepflegt. Das Remastersys-Repository ist per Standard deaktiviert.
